Egypt: Joseph’s Journey from Prison to Palace

EgyptLogoLowResSmall 1

Egypt … where children will learn that the One True God gives us hope, wisdom, special abilities, forgiveness and a family!

Join us July 12-16, 2010, 9AM-Noon, as we travel to ancient Egypt (without leaving the building!) to learn about Joseph’s amazing transformation from a prisoner to a palace advisor.

Students will participate in lots of fun and exciting activities, including wrapping mummies and embalming, building pyramids, learning hieroglyphics, and more.  They will get to try special treats from the Food Shop and learn about why Egyptians wore eye make-up (to reduce sun glare!)  They will even get to put some on!

All the while, children will learn how a story from 4,000 years ago is still important today.  They will learn to see God’s work around them, called God Sightings.  They will meet Joseph himself and learn from him how God gave him hope so Joseph could forgive his brothers and reunite with his family.  Students will learn what God gave to Joseph and what he still gives to each of us today.

Join us in ancient Egypt! It will be the most exciting week of your summer!
